Today, May 5th , 2018 is my lovely daughter Elsa's second year birthday. I swear it feels like yesterday that she was born and gosh it has been two years now. Even though she was born in May 26th we celebrated her birthday today which was determined by her birth chart and our own Nepali calendar.
According to tradition, we make Yomari every even birthday (2, 4, 6, 8, 12) until a child turns 12. Yomari is a delicacy of the Newars. It consists of an external covering of rice-flour and an inner content of sweet substances such as chaku (Molasses). This morning, I had a great opportunity of clicking some of her best snaps as she seems to be in better mood and behaving well.
